Maple had a lovely sunny afternoon visiting the allotments. Their behaviour was superb and they asked lots of fantastic questions.

Yaple (Maple and Yew) have had great fun making nutritious energy balls and then eating them in the forest before having a den building competition.

"Phase 4 had an exciting visit from 'The Animal Man' as part of their 'Darwin's Delight' topic. They learned all about how animals have evolved over time to survive."

Phase 4 have been learning how to write and redraft our writing effectively. First we looked at writing a story ending on Author day and then we looked at writing a diary entry - both of these were based on Shackleton's journey. In maths, we have been working on short division. We have also been learning about sleep and how not having enough sleep can affect us and food chains - who is eaten by whom.

We did a lot of work about respect during our Anti-Bullying week.

The whole of Year Six did an amazing assembly all about it.

Bringing Books to Life dance workshop

West End in Schools visited us today and every class had a workshop. We used our imaginations to think about a story from a book and develop language, movement and dance. More photos

As part of our Design and Technology we have been making Fairground rides. We have designed our ride then made it and made our own switches to create a full circuit.
